MSC.Software Appoints Eric Favre Vice President Asia/Pacific

SANTA ANA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jun 29, 2010 -- MSC.Software, the leader in multidiscipline simulation solutions that accelerate product innovation, today announced the appointment of Eric Favre as the Vice President Asia/Pacific.

Mr. Favre will be responsible for continuing to drive the rapid adoption of MSC's products in the region while ensuring that users continue to receive the very highest level of support.

Favre brings to MSC.Software more than 20 years of industry experience with 16 years in the CAD/PLM business and over six years specifically in Asia/Pacific. Prior to MSC.Software's appointment, Favre was Vice President Asia/Pacific at Dassault Systemes, where he was responsible for managing the DELMIA (digital manufacturing) business. During his tenure at Dassault, Favre also oversaw the CATIA business across major regions in Asia.

Favre graduated as a mechanical engineer from one of the most famous Grandes Ecoles in France, Arts and Metiers (ENSAM). Favre began his career as a design engineer at Du Pont Engineering Polymers and later moved on to sales leadership positions at PTC and Tecnomatix. Favre spearheaded Tecnomatix's explosive business growth during his ten-year tenure and in 2003. He moved to Shanghai to assume the position of Vice President where he pioneered the business in Greater China while managing South Asia, significantly enlarging the business until the subsequent acquisition of Tecnomatix.
