Autodesk Increases Power of 3D Design With 2012 Design and Creation Suites

New Suites Provide Easier Access to Broader Set of Design, Simulation and Visual Communication Software for Entertainment, Building, Infrastructure and Product Design

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 22, 2011Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) unveiled its 2012 portfolio of 3D design, engineering and entertainment software and an expanded family of design suites. The new suites will make it easier for customers across a wide range of industries to adopt and use a broader set of Autodesk’s comprehensive and sophisticated design software. The suites will be available in convenient packages with a range of capabilities that bring together compatible sets of complementary products for entertainment, building, infrastructure, product and visual design that, when used together, help to manage data, workflow and process.

The Autodesk family of design and creation suites offer greater access to powerful industry-specific design tools in a convenient package and are more cost-effective and easier to install, deploy, and manage than individual products. Suites also make it easier to standardize on a single suite across multiple departments, which provides greater flexibility to innovate and more easily respond to changing business requirements. In addition, Suites can make it easier for customers to explore new products and technologies, and provide a consistent user experience, making it easier to learn and work with multiple Autodesk tools.
