iPad 2 Available for Digital Chaotics Online Contest Winner with Most Creative 3D Animated Video Using Harmony™ Desktop Application

"First One Hundred Contest Entrants Will Receive Free Download"

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 26, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Digital Chaotics is giving away an iPad 2 to the person who submits the winning video to www.digitalchaotics.com using the Harmony™ 3D animation tool released earlier this year.  The company's first online contest started today and ends May 20, 2011 at 11:59 PM Silicon Valley time. "Harmony artists are making music for the eyes using their favorite song and a desktop computer," said VJ Chaotic, the driving force behind Digital Chaotics and creator of Harmony™.  "We're encouraging both amateur and advanced users to share their artistic creations with the world through our contest."

To enter the Harmony™ online contest, entrants fill out an application to get a key at the Digital Chaotics website. Current users already qualify for entry.  The first 100 entrants will receive a free download of Harmony, currently retailing for $49. Entrants make videos using their favorite dance club trax such as house, techno, trance, drum and bass, ambient, goa-psy or dubstep. Once complete, they upload their "chaotic" videos to YouTube and enter unlimited Harmony videos.  VJ Chaotic himself will choose the winner and is very firm on contest rules, "Blow me away in 10 minutes or less. It's going to be hard since I wrote the application. I want to see things I didn't know Harmony™ could do - the more creative the better." VJ Chaotic will announce the name of the winner during the International Music Summit in Ibiza, Spain in late May.

A Harmony™ application does not yet exist for iPad 2. VJ Chaotic explains, "We chose the Apple iPad 2 as our contest prize because we love the product and know Harmony users will too. We'd love to have Harmony running on the iPad, but Harmony's so compute-intensive that the iPad would melt."  Harmony is available for Windows Vista and Windows 7 today and a Mac version is planned soon.  Users who own a multi-core computer with the ability to run today's 3D games should have no problem with Harmony. VJ Chaotic concludes, "Harmony isn't going to eat your computer, but we know from our users that it's intense. We could easily offer a pared down version of Harmony but that would result in a lot of low-quality videos.  We don't want people to think Harmony videos are simplistic. We want them to think "Harmony produces high quality videos using a gamer-grade computer."  When lower-end platforms are ready, Harmony will be there.
