Recently returned to 3D after a few "days" off and immediately ran into a prop I needed for one of my stories - a cuddly self-made snowman plushie. Very loosely modeled after my own crocheted holiday gifts, but at a size I would never have the patience to actually make them ... :D

Provided "as is" - despite my efforts some 14 years ago, modeling never really "clicked" for me, and I'm TERRIBLY n00bish working in DS, since I always was a Carrara person.

I've tried to export this using Content Wizard in order to include the necessary smart content information, but I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and whether this will actually work.

 

Small overview of the content:

• Articulate snowman plushie base prop (comes with rigged neck and head and two simple shaping morphs)
• A simple crepe paper top hat
• A small collection of rigid follow buttons and stitches to create a face and a row of "coat" buttons
• One fully pre-assembled preset

• Knitting texture by Lennart Demes
• Fur and Metal textures by nobiax/Yughues and compiled by kaz42/The-Golemancer

 

Other resources used:

• Gescon Plugin for DS to create the base shapes
• Blender to reduce vertices and generate UV maps, and to create a simple button model
• Clip Studio Paint to modify the textures and convert them to PNG
