This a self promotional piece spawned from an Illustration that I was comissioned to create for a horror and fantasy magazine in which the article that the illustration accompanied was on the role of female warriors in Japanese film and animation. This image portrays a female geisha that is a killer samurai. She has stolen a moment to shower in her favorite hidded alcover beneath a waterfall, her sword and companion set aside as she begins to undress in the cool misty water. Surprisingly she has been followed by two assassin's that have been hired to kill her as they cast shadows on the wall in front of her. She looks over her shoulder with a smirk on her face and sword a distance away from her grasp....will the assassin's prevail and cut her down, or does that smirk mean that she has something up her sleeve? « Less
