The Hiraajans (collectively the vulpine Melani, dragon Draconians, and reptilian Hux species) have long settled their differences and focused on improving their world and space exploration.
Eventually they joined the United Federation of Planets and became well renowned for fusing their various magic techniques with science. They proved themselves quite formidably in the Battle of Wolf 359 against the Borg and the Dominion War.
Captain Shion Charzide and Commander Aseska T'Jani command the USS Excalibur, with the hope of making it the flagship of the Federation.
(At least until there's another Enterprise.)
