This is a fantastic item and something that was made for my upcoming animated film 'Star Trek: The Armageddon Clock'. Mega-Big thanks to Jedman for taking time out of his very busy schedule to create this killer prop for the Trek community and sharing it with us all. If you're a Trek fan you need this item. You're right Sarge, they used hand-held communicators in TOS, the combadges are from TNG, Voyager and DS9

As far as I know, that thing on the chest is no combadge. They only came up in the 24th century. But it's still a nice texture.
