About the Moe Hair prop:
Moe is more accurately "Moh-Ee", a Japanese contemporary culture descriptor meaning cute, lovable, contextless, just for feeling happy, etc etc.
This hair prop was modelled to fit the Simon G2 figure, but it can be parented to the head of any other figure, and adjusted for fit using the X,Y, and Z translation, rotation and scale parameter dials.
Creation Technique:
I created the hair prop mesh entirely inside of Poser 8 using the hi-res square prop and a wave.
I combined strips of the distorted prop to create the hairstyle.
I generated the hair textures and transparencies using Natsugi Ogata's Kame Java Hair Texture creator freeware app.
The hair texture template was created using freeware version of UVmapper.
Hair textures produced by Ogata-san's app had to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise and stretched to fit the texture template.
To finish up the style, I used magnet and wave effect one more time for adjustments before exporting as OBJ, then re-importing as prop.
Other notes:
I also had to create prop UVs using the Poser grouping tool, create the new material for the hair, and assign the new material. I then created the MC6 files in Material Room.
Prop OBJ geometry was extracted using GeomStripper by John Hoagland.
