An illustration to Lord Tennyson's poem "Love and Death". I had in mind it's German translation (by Adolf Strodtmann); that's why Love is a woman to me (in German "love" is a female noun). I strongly recommend this poem performed by the outstanding Bacio di Tosca. « Less
