These are a VERY UNDETAILED DONKEY texture for the DAZ Zebra and a VERY UNDETAILED SHEEP texture for the DAZ Pronghorn Antelope that come in the FREE DAZ Safari Starter Package at www.daz3d.com or at http://ca1-web1.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/safari-starter?item=8865&_m=d ====
They were very hurriedly made for distance and nighttime scenes and are NOT intended for close-up viewing! I had NOT planned on uploading them -- but Skylab suggested that I should since some 3D-ers might need them. ====
FOR THE DONKEY:
The DAZ Zebra comes in two versions: plain "Zebra" and "Zebra Map". Open the "ZEBRA MAP" character. Then, use the "DAZzebraM-DonkeyGray2-SB" texture on its FUR and EARS. Remove ALL texture maps for its IRIS and set the IRIS DIFFUSE COLOR to dark brown (or whatever). Remove ALL texture maps for its FEET and set the FEET DIFFUSE COLOR to a dark gray (or whatever). Leave the original DAZ zebra textures on the PUPIL and INNER MOUTH. Leave the rest of the default zebra material settings alone. (In the render, it is the gray donkey with the white nose, on the left.)
The “plain” DAZ Zebra character does NOT load with the striped zebra mat. Therefore, its FUR, IRIS, FEET, and all other body parts, can be colored in the Poser Material Room simply by changing their DIFFUSE COLORS to whatever color you want. However, this donkey will NOT have a white nose! (In the render, it is the solid-colored donkey, in the middle.)
To fine tune the shape of the donkey’s head, in the Parameter Settings, set the HEAD TAPER to 0.1 (or whatever). ====
FOR THE SHEEP:
First, make the ANTLERS on the DAZ Pronghorn Antelope character completely invisible in the Poser Material Room. [Set the transparency to 1 (or above to be on the safe side) and BOTH the Transparency Edge and Transparency Falloff to 0.]
Next, you will need to open the “DAZpronghornM-SheepWhite-SB” texture for the Pronghorn’s HIDE. Leave the original DAZ Pronghorn mats on the REST of its body parts. Then, set the DIFFUSE COLOR for the HIDE to WHITE and leave the rest of the settings alone.
The Pronghorn opens with a default bump map that seems to work OK with the sheep texture -- for distance and nighttime scenes. So, you can leave that be. ====
By the way, some of the Pronghorn poses appear to work OK on the Donkey! ====
You can do whatever you want with my texture files for the donkey and sheep (Unrestricted Use) as long as you do NOT distribute any of the original DAZ textures and files. ====
ENJOY!
