It's a mezuzah, if you're looking for one, you probably already know what it is. If not, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mezuzah . I know I usually post a lot of information here, but since this item is still in use, it's easier to read the wikipedia page. (It's the pretty much the same as the scholarly pages on it) Oh, I just can't resist... A redistributable Mezuzah, never thought I'd see one of them, after all, the scroll inside must be a handscribed original. Now to nail it to the computer generated jewish doorframes of all the computer generated jewish doors except for the bathrooms... « Less
