A Belly Dump Trailer for construction and traffic scenes. The trailer was done in Shade for the fun of it. It should render looking rather dirty in Poser.
Belly Dump Trailers dump their load out in a long narrow mound that is much easier for graders and dozers to spread and level than the large pile the standard dump truck makes. The belly dump rig unloads while moving forward, so the truck never stops moving when unloading. They are fast and efficient, thus the great demand for belly dump use at large construction projects. Indeed belly dump rigs cannot standing still unloading without risking getting stuck in their own pile of dirt. The odd "stinger" rear bumper is a "push bar" specifically for allowing bulldozers to push the trailer forward and/or sideways to help get it moving again. Yes, These rigs often get stuck when unloading.
The landing gear legs on the trailer raise up or down with the "UP - DOWN" dial in Poser Properties, but these trailers are rarly unhooked from the trucks that pull them. The dump doors at the bottom of the hopper open and close just as the real ones do.
An "extendable" simulated mound of unloaded dirt is included to better illustrate unloading. Use the "EXTEND up to...." Poser Parameters dial in "DirtLoad" to extend the mound as the trailer moves forward.
The models are simple and low-poly for quick rendering.
