Sorry it doesn't do so well out of Poser7..if you can live without the flyer attachments, you might have better luck with the Prototype Retro - it isn't a figure and seems to import functionally into Daz (from what i am told) - being a prop, you could align the retro with the flyer, parent it and then make the flyer not visible - the flying thrusters are independant figs and they should more …

Thankyou for the info. I spent about 2 hours going through and making materials transparent in an attempt to try and find this elusive material.
I've given your solution a go and still the same result in Poser Pro 2010. Strange.
The preview material you made transparent was the TimeMachine\Delorean\Preview material?
The model looks perfect in the preview window, just renders make the whole more …

Built/Textured/Posed/Animated all in Poser 7..when i would try to move it into Poser 8, it was all purple - even through the renders!! Since it's technically a 'figure', Poser 8 was giving the preview layer a non-transparency - i had to manually make the preview texture transparent and all the other underlying textures finally rendered properly in Poser8.

Awesome work. Thanks for sharing.
What version of Poser are you testing this with? I am loading these up in Poser Pro 2010 and having the nose of the car (lights, grille, logo) all permanently black. Can't find the mystery material which is hiding the other details. Any ideas?

...as big a letters as i can legally and morally generate. (got cut off the previous post)

On the upside for you DAZ victims, i have been told that the Prototype RETRO, being a PP2 and not a CR2 file WILL load into Daz and WILL pose...it won''t fly, but maybe you don''t need it to fly... just a suggestion.....as big a letters as i can legally and morally generate. (got cut more …

My apologies go out to all the DAZ users out there - i kinda hoped the word POSER in caps on the image example and ONLY mentioning POSER in the descrip would do the trick but i guess it just wasn''t enough. i never have used DAZ and even dumped using Bryce when Daz bought it up. i promise, any future free items made in or for Poser will be prominently labeled NO DAZ in as big a letters a

If this is not suitable for Daz Studio, can you please state this to save people like me the time DLing it and loosing our temper trying to make it work!

I hate to post twice on an item, but the other guys here are right. The obj''s are not there.I hate to post twice on an item, but the other guys here are right. The obj''s are not there.

Mr. Jones, you are my new favorite person.

Now i think i see the problem - this cr2 file was made in and for Poser, NOT Daz. i don''t have any Daz software and ONLY use Poser. While some items will cross over into Daz, apparently some items will not and this happens to be the latter. Sorry.Now i think i see the problem - this cr2 file was made in and for Poser, NOT Daz. i don''t have any Daz software and ONLY use more …

I opened up the .cr2 in an ediror and here is what it said:

version
{
number 7
}
figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:vp:soloship.obj

This is the .obj file I was refering to...it is not there.
Music2u4u (14 years ago)Inappropriate?
I use Daz Studio. When I click the car .cr2, I get an error popup that says it can not find "soloship.obj" in the runtime/geometry/vp folder. This means there must be an .obj file for the car for it to load. There is no .pp2 file for the car.
sparkyjones (14 years ago)Inappropriate?
The cr2 file, the pp2 files and the pz2 files all loaded properly on a laptop that was running Poser 7 - the character worked fine (sloppy and obtrusive as hell, but it was there) with no need to locate a missing .obj file...*shrug* dunno what to tell you..
Music2u4u (14 years ago)Inappropriate?
Once again, there is no .obj file for the car. Is this something we have to get seperately? Please clue us in.
