What it is:
------------
This is a poserized model of District 9™'s 'Prawn'™. The package includes basic poses (mostly of Prawns™ being abused or shot), a 'Walk Cycle' animation for use with Poser's WalkDesigner, and mat poses (so you can have individual prawns in a scene). The character is fully rigged, including ERC for the antennae and 'grasp' ERC for the hands, as well as (hopefullY) mimic™-compatible face-morphs. A texture template is also included if you wish to make new textures for the Prawn. And because I know people are GOING to try to make more morphs for him, the tentacles are separate groups from the head. This makes it a LOT easier to work with his face, since you don't have to try to figure out how to morph the head without twisting the tentacles around.
The model is really too simple to get too fancy with. He was designed to replicate the shape of the critter and not break apart in FPS-shooter action. He makes a passable low-poly Poser model and you could probably have twenty or thirty of him in a scene without Poser choking, but for people who want high detail and ultra-close-ups, you're going to have to have someone model a better version.
The model was originally made by OpethRockr55, who says the following: "Anyone can modify, add on, do whatever to the model, just as long as they don't sell the prawn or any direct derivatives of him, but do give proper credit for my original model. Beyond that, have fun with him! " So, here's credit: The model was made by OpethRockr55. Textures for the model by Void77.
What you can do with it:
------------------------
1) You're free to use this model in any NON-commercial render, though credit for the original model's creator (OpethRocr55) is requested. However, as this model is a trademarked movie property, commercial use is NOT permitted without authorization from the trademark holder, TriStar Pictures.
2) You may NOT sell the model itself, either individually or as part of a compilation. This is a trademarked movie property, folks, non-profit "fan" use only.
3) If you re-post this model on your website or as part of a free compilation, the archive must include this readme file.
How to use it:
--------------
extract this archive to your Poser runtime directory. The files will fall into the following directories:
The Character will appear under Runtime:Libraries:character:Prawn
Poses and MATS for the character will appear under Runtime:Libraries:Pose:Prawn
After you've installed the files, open Poser. Load the Character and pose normally.
