What it is: ------------ This is a set of free Poser 7+ python scripts to set smoothing on or off, and to set texture filtering. When texture filtering is ON, this uses less RAM but produces somewhat blurry textures close-up. When texture filtering is OFF, this uses more RAM, but produces clearer textures close-up. When texture filtering is at MAX, this uses the minimum RAM, but is only really useful for objects in the background. Smoothing on/off alters whether or not an object is smoothed when you have smoothing on in your render settings. Some objects get bulgy, baloon-ey appearances with smoothing on. This turns smoothing off for the selected object. I created the 'smoothing' script, but the Texture Filtering scripts I don't know who created, they've been floating around the Poserverse for quite awhile with no attribution. What you can do with it: ------------------------ 1) You're free to use these scripts in any render, non-commericial or commercial. 2) You may not sell the scripts themselves, either individually or as part of a compilation. 3) If you re-post these scripts on your website or as part of a free compilation, the archive must include this readme file. How to use it: -------------- extract this archive to your Poser runtime directory. The files will fall into the following directories: The scripts will appear under :Runtime:Python:poserScripts:ScriptsMenu:Utility After you've installed the files, open Poser. Select the actor or prop you want to affect (if you want to affect an entire figure, select it's 'body' location). Access the scripts by clicking SCRIPTS>UTILITY, select the script you want to run.
