The "TAStrogator" is based on devices commonly seen in science fiction movies of the mid-20th century, such as "Forbidden Planet" and several of the serials from the 1940s. This model is a hypothetical representation of what one might have looked like had they built it for the original "Star Trek" series, and includes details and colors based on those seen on the bridge of the starship "U.S.S. Enterprise"; it was made for fans and Poser users who want to use it in their sci-fi images; with modifications to some of the basic materials, it could also be used as a prop in other franchises.
