This mesh based upon the iconic "manta ray" design by the late art director Albert Nozaki for the 1953 release of "The War of the Worlds" produced by the "Puppetoon" creator, George Pal. The mesh itself was sculpted in Blender by Winchel D. Chung Jr. and he's graciously permitted me to convert the mesh to .OBJ format and share it with the 3D community. Thank you, "Nyrath"! Any rendering software that can import .OBJ "should" be able to handle this model. Since the design is copyrighted by Paramount Pictures (the studio that made and released the 1953 film) I must regretfully insist you do not use this mesh in any commercial ventures. Studios "usually' turn a "blind eye" to "fan art", but they will protect their interests if it appears someone is trying to monetarily profit from their property. Just a fair warning. Otherwise, have fun with it! « Less
