This my second release in a series of mail textures. It consists of four separate mails. This time it's Japanese-style 'kusari gusoku' (literally chain armour).

Kusari01: 'Hitoye-Gusari' - each of the circular links is connected to four others, forming a repeating square pattern.

Kusari02: 'Hana-Gusari'- each of the circular links is connected to six others, forming a repeating hexagonal pattern.

Kusari03: 'Hitoye-Gusari' with square 'kikko' (metal or leather plates).

Kusari04: 'Hana-Gusari' with hexagonal 'kikko'.

Each mail texture consists of five 512x512 PNG images (texture, bump/displacement, transparency, ambient occlusion, and normals). I've included a Poser material (.mt5) and DAZ|Studio shader preset (.dsb) for each mail to allow you to apply the texture to any item.

I've also include Poser material collections (.mc6) and DAZ|Studio material presets (.dsb) files to apply the textures to the coif, gloves, pants, shoes, tabard, and tunic from Lourdes' free M3 Normans Outfit (sorry, I couldn't find a freebie ninja, samurai or ashigaru outfit, though I'm sure there's some around...)

The shader and material presets have been tested in DAZ Studio 3 and Poser 6.

The samurai helmet and mask in the 'terracotta samurai' image is Daramski's ShareCG Samurai Helmet for Poser freebie, the katana is from Arki's Renderosity Katana set for M3 freebie, and the shield is a cardboard cut-out I made! ;o) « Less
