The 13 Days of Halloween:
“The Scariest Songs”
Hi Folks! Here is my suggestion for Number 4: What’s yours?
#4: Hotel California
The Eagles, 1977
Same Set Playlist:
Lullaby – The Cure
Welcome to My Nightmare – Alice Cooper
Mama Told Me Not to Come – Three Dog Night
"Last thing I remember I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
'Relax,' said the night man, “We are programmed to receive'
'You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave'”
During the 1970s a moderately popular poster was available at most college bookstores. It featured a simple cartoon pair of eyes looking furtively to the side, under the smug warning: “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.” And thus is presented today’s theme. Maybe the situation is not really that dangerous. Maybe your mind is playing tricks. Maybe you just made a really bad decision about where, or how, or with whom you’re going to spend the evening. BTW: “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals gets a notable mention primarily because the song has an old and fascinating history. No such place (at least, not with that name) has ever existed in New Orleans.
Thanx to the artists at Renderosity.com, 3Dcommune, Daz 3D, Archive3D.net, and ShareCG, whose props were used in the composition of this image.
