Thanks for the little historical anecdote as well. We don't always need the latest high-tech to make a flying machine. This one sounds good !

This fills a gap in my collection and is greatly appreciated.
In RAAF service, each aircraft type was issued an "A number" which prefixed the individual aircraft number. The Boomerangs were A46.
There were:
CA-12 A46-1 to -105
CA-13 A46-106 to-200
CA-19 A46-201 to -249
CA14/14A A46 1001
for a grand total of 250 aircraft built.
They served operationally with RAAF squadrons 4, 5 & 84 more …
