A few weeks ago, someone posted on the DAZ forums looking for a LCD monitor. I searched and found a few, but not all that many. So, I started to make one, but in the meantime, the original poster had found one that was usable. So I shelved mine...until now. I finished it off.
A couple of features of this one, that I think make it rather more useful than most of the ones I've found elsewhere. This one is articulated, meaning that the screen has both tilt and side to side swivel, which makes it a lot more adjustable than most. Also, the screen is a comprised of two separate objects. The first is the main body/shell, which has four material zones: the case, the buttons, the LED and the glass. The second object is a plane, named imageplane. The glass matterial is set to a very low opacity setting, allowing any image mapped to the imageplane to show. To turn the monitor 'off' simply increase the opacity of the 'glass' material to 100%.
The imageplane is UV mapped and the map resized to fit a 1024 x 1024 image. Nothing complex, but it will provide a means of creating your own 'screenshots'...simply resize any image to size and use it to replace the included one. The included one is my current desktop wallpaper...a rendered image of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver.
There are On/Off DAZ materials.
