You'd said this gown reminded you of what Napoleon's wife would wear... that made me think of dramatizations of Jane Austen's novels, and some of the costumes the actresses wore. My textures, for this set, were inspired by some of those. :)

They're "fantastic," I mean. :-) Typo...sorry, it's early in the morning. But again -- your work is appreciated.
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
You are all welcome. :-) Eden, I saw your textures and they are fantatic!!! You're a wizard, when it comes to making dresses look cool. I like your combinations, very much. Thank you!!! :-))) Jan

Thank you for this, Jan! :) I made a few textures for this and the sleeves, that I hope you and others will enjoy. http://www.sharecg.com/v/60316/

Thanks!
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thank you. :-) Turt, this one was modeled specifically for Genesis -- hence, no Poser version, unfortunately. Poly, good -- you've got vision! I think, with Eden's sleeves and the right texturing, this could "go" with a variety of eras, also. I wish now that I'd put more decos on it but...well, when I'm ready to finish a model, I'm ready to finish it. more …

Awesome dress Jan, thank you for updating it to fit Genesis :)

Conforming for Genesis, huzzah! I can see this one being adaptable to a wide variety of time periods.
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
You're welcome! :-) Thank you all for the comments. Why no Poser version? I'm sorry but I'm upgrading all my gadgets for Pro 2012 -- and this was actually a piece I started a long time ago, to show off Marieah's Silkessence (DAZ). So I just did a Genesis version. To do a Poser version would require reworking the dress in Lightwave. I weighed the options and decided that more …

Looks really nice and will give it a try as soon as I can. Thank you.

Thanks, Wilmap. :-) And you're welcome. I appreciate your comment!

And thank you all for downloading and using Josephine. :-) And for giving her such a nice intro into the 3D world. :-)))
Wilmap (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thanks for another lovely dress.

Sigh...no, exporting from DS4 as a V4 morph yields yuck. I'll need to start with the base Lightwave object and re-work it for V4. Oh, well...I'll see what I can do with it. :-) I need to take those updated Poser gadgets for a test run anyhow.
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
Cont...I just upgraded to Poser 2012, and I'm in the process of upgrading all my conforming and morphing do-dads. I guess this dress would be as good as any to see how they all work in Poser 2012. :-)
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thank you! :-) Yes, this will only work with Genesis/V5, the Genesis V4 morph, etc. But I think I can do a V4 morph and conform it in Poser, if Poser users would like me to. :-) (From now on, all my projects will be Poser compatible, but I'd been working on this Genesis dress for awhile, off and on, and I wanted to finish it.)
ejworks (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
It's a very pretty new dress and I love your work. But this will only work with Genesis?
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
All right, It appears to be "up." :-) Hallelujah...

Hope it works okay and I hope y'all enjoy it!!! :-)
Jan (13 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thanks! :-) Y'all please bear with me -- I'm having trouble getting the zip to upload. Huff...:-)

It's looking great, Jan, thank you. :)
