Something to remember: people have different limits of persisitance of vision, which gives film the illusion of motion.
I have to say that 8fps is pretty much the limit to smooth animation--however, it's still on the verge of looking jerky for most people. 12 is much smoother.
One thing that would help: use 12fps, but don't take the *same* frames for each loop. more …
