What it is:

This is a mat pose and material setting for my 20-page book that turns it into an edited and abridged version of a public domain 1910 cookbook, the "Gold Medal Flour Cookbook." The original cookbook was considered the ancestor of modern cookbooks, it was a cherished treasure for many families, handed down from generation to generation, and was even cited in the original "Betty Crocker" cookbook in the 1950's as the inspiration for their cookbooks.
Unfortunately, the only copy I have available is one that has several damaged pages (including pages in the "Pudding" section that were apparently damaged during a rather bad time working with a chocolate pudding), and is too long for the 20-page book (the original is about 76 pages). So, I have edited and abridged this version, chopping out the sections on vegetables, salads, and a few others, and replacing some of the advertisments with notes for modern readers on temperature and cooking in case you actually decide to use it (as back then, they used wood-burning stoves and had no real control of oven temperature), as well as historical notes on the diet of the day. IMPORTANT NOTE #2: This item has been tested to work in Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012. I do not know if it works in DAZ Studio, I don't have Studio.

How to use it:
--------------
First, extract this archive to your Poser runtime directory. The files will fall into the following directories:
The mat poses will appear under Runtime:Libraries:Poses:Jim's Book
The Material presets will appear under Runtime:Libraries:Materials:Jim's Book
After you've arranged the files where you want them, open Poser. Load the book, then select it. Load the material pose, and away you go.
