Thanks, Neil. I'm putting together a scene that needs a flying boat and you come up with one of the best. Great model.

Another fantastic model. Thanks for setting it loose. I always appreciate seeing models of aircraft that made it to my side of the planet. But a flying boat too! This is quite a treat!

@ mafiagore...How long? no idea :-) I tend to work on several models at a time and switch between them as the mood takes me.This one was started about three years ago and then forgotten (I've got a lot of them).I dug this out and finished it to drive a storyline on Rendo. That's pretty much why the Dauntless and Avenger 'appeared' and why there's a P-40 Kittyhawk and more …

My grandfather flew a very similar American Curtis flying boat for the famous Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMilne in the early 1920's. They flew many hours filming an adventure movie. The beautiful airplane was lost when it was ripped from it's lake moorings and flipped becoming a write off. My grandfather retired from flying shorty thereafter and lived to an old age because of it.

A great day for lovers of good model aircraft and for great aircraft modelers. This looks like a terrific creation. Thanks Neil, I haven't had the time to 'get it out the box' yet. I love these old birds, though. Must have been chilly in that cockpit. How long did this take you?
Thanks very much, Maf.
