I’ve included a very detailed manual. I put a lot of work into it and it contains valuable information. Please take a moment to read it.
The scene itself is easy to use, but the manual explains some ways to improve Assembly room performance, lighting concepts for the scene and an overview of scene features and how to use them.
There’s also a folder with light presets and one with objects that I
made for the scene. Some don’t load by default, but they’re nice to have
anyway!
The scene consists of the terrain with custom shader, two ocean
primitives with custom shader, a dam group, cattails, Renaissance style
tournament ground suitable for jousting, crumbled stone fenceing, custom
RSE and volumetric cloud, three customized trees with custom shaders
that use Carrara’s own leaf shapes (no need to install leaves)!
Plus to help with building placement, I’ve included proxy buildings
composed of simple primitives. Just drag whatever buildings you want
from the Objects Browser and drop them onto one of the building proxies to load
your building in that spot. Some adjustment may be required.
The license is pretty simple. You can use the scene for commercial and non-commercial renders. You can redistribute the scene as long as the documentation remains with it and it is absolutely free. You can add to it and redistribute it as long as it meets the requirements stated above.

A good bump map can break up the effect. Every scene is different, but from my observations, even weathered wood can have a specular effect. For weathered wood, I may start by making the Highlight around 20% and the Shininess around 5%. I would also want a good wood looking image map or procedural in the bump channel or the specular effect more …
@graykeeper: It may be difficult to get some things into Poser, such as the trees. You should be able to export most of the other models .obj format. Remember to bake the procedural textures to image maps or mat more …
I tried it in C6 but it seems to work much better in C8.
Thanks for your hard work putting this together.
How long did it take you?
Much appreciated,
Maf.
