Sometimes Obj Imports to Carrara lose the UVMapping. This simple solution overcomes the problem. More hints at http://www.facebook.com/scififunk

Simply changing one option on import and then re-editing the imported obj model back to vertices works every time. At least it has for me with multiple attempts.

Importing as vertices can sometimes fail due to a bug in Carrara. I believe (reading an old thread) it's something to do with a point on the UVmap touching the edge, but I'm not certain.

Ignore the technical reasons - this is a quick way out.
