DESTINY: THE MOVIE is the first fully animated CG feature film to come from Dark Project Works/Dark Project Works Pictures.
DESTINY is based on the 30 page online comic of the same name, released on http://darkprojectworks.com/Destiny_original.html in 2007. The comic was turned into a 12 minute "motion-comic" in 2008, using all the original comic artwork, and featured a cast, sound fx, music created by myself, and also music from LOCAL H, H-BLOCKX, and LINKIN PARK. This was given away freely on DVD with 35 minutes worth of other animated shorts I have made since 2005. The DVD was titled "DESTINY: vol.1 - CLASH".
DESTINY had proven to be a success, after worldwide appeal on DVD and the internet, even though the motion comic wasn't even full animation, it contained the basis of a rich story that needed to be expanded on.
March 2009, work began on bringing DESTINY back and a CG anime style. The beginnings of character animation were more fluid then previous works, and the quality sharp. By the beginning of May 2009, a teaser trailer hit facebook and darkprojectworks.com. This teaser showcased new animation, particle effects (never used particles in any previous project), and featured music by Ayumi Hamasaki. Work on a movie style trailer began a few weeks later (26th May 2009), along with purchasing epic style music by Albert Alvarez, which will also be heard throughout DESTINY: THE MOVIE.
