13Jan15 EDIT: Bug found in environment mapped relections - see http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/7582/P15/#744801 for the fix.
My original Simple Dual Material Shader included tiling. My DAZ Studio Shader For S.E.Asian Shields was a tidied up version of that, but with a third layer added, and with several features that were unnecessary for my specific requirements removed. However, I've recently had a couple of queries asking how to put tiling back into the shield shader. See the Multiple Tiling Shader? thread on the DAZ3D forums for more background
This package is a set of DAZ Brick Material (.dbm) files based on the DMS(full)/TMS(full) generic shaders from the 'DAZ Studio Shader For S.E.Asian Shields'. I've done Dual/Triple layer, Single/Multiple tiler, and DS3/4 variants, in all eight permutations.
- The Dual Layer versions have Base/Top layers, the Triple Layer versions have Base/Mid/Top layers.
- The Single Tiler version uses one tiler brick plugged into all the image maps, the Multiple Tiler version have one tiler for the masks, and a separate tiler for each layer.
- The DS3 versions are identical to the DS4, simply being the DS4 .dbm files opened in DS3A, untangled, and saved back out.
Eight DAZ Brick Material files:
DualLayerMultiTilerDS4.dbm
DualLayerUniTilerDS4.dbm
TriLayerMultiTilerDS4.dbm
TriLayerUniTilerDS4.dbm
DualLayerMultiTilerDS3.dbm
DualLayerUniTilerDS3.dbm
TriLayerMultiTilerDS3.dbm
TriLayerUniTilerDS3.dbm
There is NO readme! Simply unzip, copy the contents of /DS Content/DAZ Brick Materials/ to wherever you want, run a version of DAZ Studio that includes ShaderMixer (DS3Advanced or DS4Pro), open ShaderMixer, open the .dbm file you want, and apply that to whatever surface you want (the default settings will make the surface appear flat and grey). Close ShaderMixer, go to the Surfaces tab and set up the layer textures and tiling however you want, render (you won't see the layers in the preview) to check it's what what want, and then save as a Shader/Material preset (.dsa or .duf format)
