I just read your post about my Doomsday Machine model. I would LOVE to see a photograph of the physical miniature! I never considered anyone might try to "3D print" any of my meager efforts. I'm truly flattered!

I 3D printed this with great success! Thank you Redfern.

I passed it through Slic3r first to fix some errors (not your fault as it wasn't designed for 3D printing). It came out beautifully!

Thanks! I've seen other meshes, but they tend to resemble the "Remastered" effects. I wanted something as close to the "chicken-wire wrapped in cooking foil and cellophane" filming model constructed in 1967. I used screen captures from TrekCore to get that single "perfect" profile shot just as the Constellation explodes for a "template". Most other more …
