How to reduce 3d models so that you can fit in lots more into a scene file. More info at http://www.facebook.com/scififunk

This tutorial focuses on the general technique of scene reduction (via carrara), and what I went through to create a very large scene (sci fi funk episode 8 - Welcome to London).

I go into detail on which polygons to remove, some general principles to get you there as quick as possible. This includes some subtle techniques, and the methods to take an overview of what is achievable in short order.

The video features a live editing session.

I then go through the files on my hard drive which relate to all the reduced polygon modeling I went through to create episode 8 of sci fi funk.

The main effort went into recreating the actual eastern avenue as if it were in an a semi-abandoned future.
