GENESIS 2 FEMALE POSE ADJUST aniBlock
A simple aniBlock to correct Genesis 2 Female(s)' limbs (feet, arms, thighs) for aniBlocks originally created for Victoria 4 or Michael 4.
Basically, this is the "Genesis Pose Adjust aniBlock" (http://www.sharecg.com/v/67223/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Genesis-Pose-Adjust-aniBlock), which has been made out of DavidGB's great "Genesis V4 pose adjust script" (http://www.sharecg.com/v/60135/related/21/DAZ-Studio/Genesis-V4-pose-adjust-script), converted to an aniBlock and distributed with the kind permission of it's author, which has been adjusted to the Genesis 2 Female Figure.
Note: Like the original script, due to significant differences in the skeleton layout and the meshes this aniBlock isn't really 100% accurate and some motions may need some additional minor adjustments.
Installation:
Drop the 'My Library' from the Zip over your DS4 Library and you will find it in the aniMate2 Previewer in the 'aniMate'/'Genesis 2'/'Genesis 2 Female' directory as 'G2F-Offset'.
Usage:
- load a Genesis 2 Female figure into your scene
- change to the aniMate2 tab
- with Genesis 2 Female still selected, create a Sub-Track by clicking on the "+" icon on the left
- drag and drop the pose adjust aniBlock on the Sub-Track
- drag and drop your chosen aniBlock(s) on the Main Track
- hit play

What you'd need is an Animation Conversion script, like those which already exist for Genesis/Genesis 2 (from V4/M4) and Genesis 3 (from Genesis 2) found on the DAZ shop.
Sorry
Normally, DAZ Studio automatically creates a .ds file for every .gfa that doesn't have one when you start it. That looks to me at a first glance like a folder security settings problem. Windows 7 (and maybe 8 and 10, too) doesn't really like it if something or someone wants to modify a file on the drive where the OS is installed. For a proper analysis of your more …
Do you know what I can do with animate blocks that have no .ds file with them ?
I installed animate for V4.2 and there is no .ds file, only a .gfa, I'm having to create them manually and was hoping for a more automated method.
Thanks for your work.
It's not really a script, just a common selfbaked aniBlock. No, unfortunately there's no software able to read and modify .gfa files. At least none that I know of.
This was done by loading Victoria 4 and G2F together, and then adjusting the bend, twist, and side-side parameters of G2F's bones to match Victoria 4's zero T-pose. One after another, more …
This is a really useful script, thank you for posting it. Do you have software that can read and modify .gfa files or was it done using Animate 2 only?
That might be, but this aniBlock aims to help making 4th Gen motions usable on Genesis 2, not circumvent restricted usabilities of the "Lite" version of aniMate 2!
