JC Large Water Plane

(Tested in Poser Pro 2014. Other objects in sample picture are not included !)
1. This is a prop (PP2 format) and procedural water shader, for use inside Poser, a software currently owned by Smith Micro.
2. I was dissatisfied with the way procedural water shaders were rendering on existing Poser default plane props, so I decided to make my own.
( I encountered a tiling effect in the rendered default props, after various third-party water shaders were applied. )
3. I intentionally made my water plane very large compared to the Poser figure Koji G2, inside Shade 3D for Unity.
Furthermore, I exported the OBJ without subdivision, and specified it to be single-sided.
4. In addition, I devised my own version of a water shader as a simple solution for simple renders.
You might want to adjust the material shader settings to suit your particular scene.
5. I wanted to keep things easy and relatively simple with my version of the water shader.
However, here are some hints on setting up your scene for rendering with this prop:
- the prop must be visible in ray tracing;
- you must render with ray trace and IDL on;
- use a skydome or large hemisphere in your scene;
- no need to add any lights (!) ;
- make sure your scene items are light emitters unless they specifically must not be.
6. If you want or need a more sophisticated water shader, please search for those devised by BagginsBill, or by several other node experts.
7. You may use this prop (i) for your commercial renders, and (ii) for your non-commercial renders. Any other use is not allowed.
8. You may not re-distribute this prop.
You may not sell this prop.
You may not pass off this prop as your own creation.
