Thimble.

A thimble with 3DL and Luxus materials.

The thimble relies on either displacement or normal maps for the pattern.  Both are included, only one is needed.  Displacement works best in 3Delight and normals in Iray.  Luxrender...a take your pick, but normalmaps are less fuss.  It is fully UV'd and includes a template.

The rose images are 'vintage' clip art.  There are lots of such images at Archive.org...just look for old catalogs and farm/garden books. 

As usual, the raw obj file is in the Runtime/Geometries folder.

For Studio the 'base' texture is a Preset for UberSurface.  It is set for Raytrace ON, in the Reflections, so there needs to be something to reflect, or you will end up with a rather dull, brushed looking thimble, maybe even 'tarnished' (instant grunge).  This is the same as Silver 1 in a set of metal presets that I have made for this and the torc projects.  I will be releasing them as a stand alone set.

Luxus is using the silver setting in Metal2.

Usable for all renders...commercial, private, whatever...
