Ceridwen is a powerful sorceress in ancient Welsh Mythology, who posesssed the cauldron of creative inspiration.  In later tradition she has become the godess of  inspiration and poetry.  In some tales she is also the mother (in a roundabout way... you will need to read the tales!) of the great semi-legendary bard and poet, Taliesin.

This image is also something of an Hommage to the sculptor Michael Talbot,  who inspired the pose and composition with his wonderful Seraphina, hence the stripped down feel with minumum props etc.
