Never mind. A buddy opened this for me in Blender and applied UV maps.

What software will open this with the textures applied?
While I can get the obj file to open in DAZ, since the surfaces aren't UV mapped, the textures don't apply correctly.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound ungrateful there. It's a great model & It works fine in just about everything but poser & daz.

Hi, Discovered what my issue was at least.

Poser, for whatever reason apparently REALLY doesn't like the export options you used with wings3D. Prehaps try reexporting from from Bryce. IIRC, by default that should provide the sort of obj that Poser and DAZ3d expect.

Thanks

Hello thanks for the interesting model, but you seem to have exported the 3DS and OBJ with an attached light dome and no material zones, which unfortunately makes it very difficult for Poser and DAZ3D users to work with.

It would be fantastic if you could do another version of the exported files without the light dome /environment sphere. Material zones also be great would save us a whole more …

I'm using DAZ Studio version 3.1.2.32; it won't open a 3ds file, and the importer doesn't work for 3ds files. When I open the obj file nothing shows in the view panel, although the word abbey shows in the scene tab.
I tried to open it in DAZ 4.7 with similar results. I guess I'm too stupid to figure it out. Thanks for trying to help. I'll wait for a poser (cr2) or DAZ more …

yes, Daz accept obj and 3ds formats, there should not be any problems

This looks great! Is there any way I can use this in DAZ 3?

hello Mafiagore, yes, based on the Rock of Cashel, a castle in Ireland, simplified the original is more complex

Thank you for sharing - and for including the OBJ file.
This works fine in carrara 7.

Everything looks great so far - its a fantastic model.
Is ir=t based on a known building?
