 this is just a simple attempt to make a Moon Blade for some Asian scenes, and mainly for my own game.
 
  It's my first 3D model for DAZ Studio (as a pure beginner).
  I tried in Blender in first attempt, but Hexagon 2.5 is what I finally used :)

 the main questions I have, as a beginner if you can answer it..
  is:

     a) why when in Hexagon I created my model by storing its parts into groups, like:
        + Blade
           |-- BladeUp
           |-- BladeDown
        + HandGrip
           |-- HandGripBar
           |-- HandGripCircleUpA
           |-- HandGripCircleUpB
           |-- HandGripCircleDownA
           |-- HandGripCircleDownB

              and exported as OBJ from Hexagon, by not clicking "Merge groups"..
                and as imported into DAZ Studio as OBJ file (before convert it to DUF file)
                                      it seems ignore groups and then still import my Moon Blade 3d model as a 1 prop item with no groups?

              Since that my plan to release an item that can be moved for each part (translating and scaling) is not possible :/

              Yet, you must know that :
               I opened the .obj in a Atom Editor (and even Notepad++) for see if groups are finally written, and it is the case..
               I can see lines like: 'g Blade BladeUp' or 'g Blade BladeDown'
                (for sure, without the ' character, so, why it's not working like that when imported the OBJ geometries in DAZ Studio and tick on groups reading) ? « Less
