Two odd geograft heads (bubble and tentacle) for Genesis 1, along with an assortment of weird skin textures (Fleshling, Metalloid, Pebblesquid, Fungal, …

i just discovered the converter yesterday! see comment & thanx there. still need to learn how to handle it for best results, but it works, i also just discovered kaz42/nobiax shaders and tried the converter for this. all in all, with this here, 3 awesome freebies needing testing & learning ;)

If you haven't seen it before, there's a cool free Iray > 3DL converter script on Daz forums in the freebie section (apparently not allowed to link it)
It's not perfect, and it'll miss a lot of SSS stuff, but it WILL handle opacity map conversion.

I am relieved! Awesome!

Yeah, I debated about making a bunch of 3DL materials, but I find 3DL skin really hard to get results I'm happy with, and, well, the textures are all there, so.

it WORKS! from my library too, refs must be relative i guess. morphs are perfect. material pose needs some tweaking for 3dl from iray, but do-able. especially bubblehead loses the mask when transposing the shader. tho' with a bit of testing and tweaking, it's fine.
thanx again Will :D

I honestly don't know.
I don't know if file references are relative or absolute.
If references don't work, I THINK you can 'find the file' and make it work anyway, and if nothing else you have all those textures to play with.

sorry, other question: i downloaded all 5 zips, and reunited them in 1 folder, easier to pick out stuff. now, i see you use 'My DAZ 3D Library', while i only use this (public documents) folder for "official" i.e. direct DIM downloads from DAZ - all other files, freebies, rendo, rdna etc are installed in 'My Library' (documents) folder. will everything just go totally more …

i see. so, like i did for kaz42/nobiax's awesome shaders, i can download the huge pack, but install bit by bit only what i need for specific figures/scenes (my laptop is not superperformant, lol). like, no dragon3, still using mildragon2.
anyways, thanks a lot for your hard & proficient/prolific work! :))
Will (8 years ago)Inappropriate?
This is why the file is so huge -- there are a bunch of skins for a BUNCH of figures, and each figure has a lot of different maps (Diffuse Color, Roughness, Bump/Displacement, Normal)

In future I'll try to release much more focused packages.

If you can't donate, that's fine. ;) Just reminding people who might be able to but not think of doing so.

No, unlike my Iray shader pack, these are skins specific to figures. It's a little chaotic, this is some of my initial experimenting with texturing (I think I did a good job, but there's a lot of, well, experimenting).

So there are two material sets for Daz Dragon more …

excellent idea, looks very interesting!
now, before i download i have some questions:
- why is the total download so huge?
- 2 promo pix show skins (which?) on the wyvern, does that mean it's a shader fitting any figure/object?
- and to be honest, if i download, can't donate cuz no card, avoiding ppal like the plague, and not even enough to live on.. even your work is worth it.

Thanks very much, Jaye1369! Missed a few small (but critical) data files.

Part five of four (cough) is here:

Several Data files are missing, the downloads do not work as should. If you could fix this issue it would be Great! Thanks!!!

Whew. All four sections uploaded.

Feel free to ask any questions here about usage of the skins/geografts!

And remember, you can always use the geografts as separate elements on Genesis 2 or 3, you just won't have the smooth transition and will have to hide underlaying head.
