Simple program similar to IM Maker allows you to package loose files into a Daz Product. It will make a Daz Install Manager ZIP that will show as a Product just like Daz Store Items.
Just point it to a folder or ZIP containing the data, runtime, etc files and give it a name and ID number, optionally you can also add a thumbnail image and Artist(s). Now click “Create Zip” to have an Install Manager ready Product created for you.
Once you have installed your product and categorized and classified it in Daz Studio you can use the “Update Product Data” button to MERGE the metadata from Daz Studio back into your Product ZIP. Now if you share this zip on ShareCG/Store your users will have the content organized in Smart Content the same way as you.
The IM number (2 digit store codes) can be anything. By default we use IM but you can use any two letter code. On shareCG I use CG and the page ID of the item. So 88851 would be used for This page if I was creating a Installer ZIP.
Please let me know of any bugs or suggestions in the comments.
Update: 7/14/2018 v2.0.0b
*Complete rewrite of all c# code, should be more stable and faster than the v1.0
* Improved on the UI and merger code.
NOTES:
Written for .Net 4.7 in Windows 10. Not tested elsewhere.
It will also create a basic product for the Item inside Daz Studio to make it easier to find and categorize the content. This feature is barebones no metadata is placed for you.
I created this to play around a bit with C# and WPF so while It seems stable there may still be bugs and edge cases with the UI hopefully you find it useful. « Less
Thanks
Might also be an idea to change the NU to match the site you downloaded it from eg SG for shareCG, RE for Renderosity, etc
If you supply Supplement.dsx along with manifest in your package then you won't have this issue at all. But keep it mind it should be encoded with ISO 8859-1 standard or else its no use.
After I use a program, the assets that I created with it show up in DIM like this
newlycreatedprogamforG8F
Is there anyway to have IMPM2 put spaces between the words for the final results in DIM?
OCD of me, but thought I'd ask
