3D model of a corrugated cardboard ballot box. In spite of its humble aspect, it can be as democratic as any other urn. Electoral ballot boxes similar to this were used in a consultation on the self-determination of Catalonia in 2014. They were subsequently declared illegal. Those responsible for the consultation were prosecuted and sentenced. These events are currently being repeated. A shame for an allegedly democratic country.
