Is there still dev support for this script? I can't get it to work for me. The materials/assets all get packaged up, but when I try to load the scene in another computer none of the materials or morphs are applied and Daz wants me to locate each one individually.

Hey,

whatever you did for the mulitple filenames does not work when using one filename. 2.3 breaks on a single file with the error below. the first and the last letter are getting hacked off in the for loop (line 145 and following)

Hi, Thanks for the feedback, I just updated the script, It should solve your issue :)
seto007 (4 years ago)Inappropriate?
Something I noticed that was resulting in issues on some assets was that this executable doesn't always copy over all the required morphs of an item, especially when the morphs seemingly aren't in use in the scene, which can sometimes cause serious issues. With SWAM's Jerry Hair or RedzStudio's Oh My Brows, for example, this seems to cause the assets to be misplaced/deformed more …

Hi. If the content is installed in different libraries (characters, assets, clothing, poses, etc) the script doesn't work. It takes the content of the main library but ignores any other existing library. You should add the option to specify the path of libraries.

Hi there, I'm trying to use this script on a Mac but every time I run it I get an error saying OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: ' - my content library is on an external HD if that makes any difference? I've tried placing the scene file on the external drive but makes no difference. Also word of caution, this script doesn't work with Python 3.x, you have to use more …

Hi Govgrades, thanks for the feedback.
I don't know why poses are not extracted, but if you send me an exemple scene I'll take a look at it!
govgrades (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thank you for the great script.
For some reason activepose changes do not transfer to a new pc with an empty library.
I copied all files extracted to the new library and everything works except for activepose adjustments. The characters are back in their initial pose.
Copying the scene files to a machine with identical library works though. (but I want to prevent copying gigabytes of data to more …

Never mind.
I got rid of the 100 LFs that scroll messages off the screen.
DrGonzo62 (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
Any chance to get a log file that would tell me when files couldn't be found for export?
I have assets in several folders and alway seem to end up with missing files in the exported folder.
Thanks! A great tool at any rate.
DrGonzo62 (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
Very cool - thanks!
Just make sure that all assets in your scene are located in the same DAZ library folder on your hard drive(s), or you end up with empty export folders because the exporter can't find those assets.
FlameArrow111 (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
Great catch! I had the scenes saved to another folder, that's why it failed. Now it works properly, thank you so much
MCphylyss (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
@FlameArrow111 : I don't think Win7 is the problem... The program should display errors when it fail to copy a file, does it? if that's the case, could you PM me a screen, + your Daz scene's path and lib's path please?
PS: I just got an idea, is your selected scene in the same folder as the daz lib? if not you should try it, let me know!
FlameArrow111 (5 years ago)Inappropriate?
I'm running into the same problem as adekii using the windows exe version. When a scene is extracted, it does correctly map out the whole folder tree, but it doesn't export any of the corresponding .duf files, resulting in empty folders. I am using Windows 7 though, so that might be the problem?
MCphylyss (6 years ago)Inappropriate?
@adekii: Could you tell me if you're using the windows exe or the source code? if you're using the source, which OS and python version are you using? it was coded on windows 10 / python 2.6 ...
adekii (6 years ago)Inappropriate?
The steps seem straightforward enough, and it makes a folder structure based on what the scene would need, but the folders are always empty - this tool does not work. Users would still have to manually go through and copy out the files they need.
MCphylyss (6 years ago)Inappropriate?
@Cerealpirate : It should work on Mac, but you need to install Python (https://www.python.org/downloads/mac-osx/), let me know if there's any problem! I can't check as I don't have any mac, but python is cross-platform...

BEST TOOL EVER! Hope to see more scripts in the near future. Maybe a way to pack DAZ content for distribution (for content creators)?
