Dolly Camera Orbit v1.2 Instructions
Installation
After extracting the zip archive, place the DollyCameraOrbit.py file in <PoserAppLocation>:Runtime:Python:poserScripts:ScriptsMenu:Partners:An0malaus, so you can find it. Place the remaining files in your Content Runtime in a folder called :Runtime:Libraries:!GeoffIX, so they can be found by the script. You will need to restart Poser so that the Scripts menu will get updated.
Execution
In your Poser scene, choose the Dolly camera, or create a new Dolly camera, then select the DollyCameraOrbit.py script from wherever you placed it in the Poser Scripts menu. New parameters will be created on the currently selected Dolly camera.
Operation
Two new parameters will appear on the Dolly camera, "Orbit Mode" and "Orbit xPitch". When Orbit Mode is zero, the camera acts as a standard Dolly camera located according to the Translation parameters and aimed by the Rotation parameters. When Orbit Mode is set to 1, the Translation parameters define the camera's centre of orbit, and the "Focus Distance" parameter defines the horizontal radius of the orbit, so the camera will always be focused on that centre when orbiting. The Pitch or xRotate works as before, tilting the camera up and down, however the Yaw or yRotate now controls the phase angle of the camera, or what angle it aims towards the centre.
The "Orbit xPitch" parameter allows the orbit circle to be inclined relative to the scene's X axis, so the camera could orbit low in front of a figure and high behind, if required.
