Copy Hair Parms v1.0 Instructions
Prompt the user to choose a dynamic strand hair prop as a template, and copy its parameters to the currently selected dynamic strand hair prop. If no HairProp is chosen from the list, but OK is clicked, default dynamic strand hair parameters will be applied.
Installation
After extracting the zip archive, place the CopyHairParms.py file in <PoserAppLocation>:Runtime:Python:poserScripts:ScriptsMenu:Partners:An0alaus, so you can find it. You will need to restart Poser so that the Scripts menu will get updated.
Execution
In your Poser scene, select the dynamic strand hair prop to which you wish to copy parameters, then choose CopyHairParms.py from the Scripts menu. A list of all of the other dynamic strand hair props in the scene will be displayed. Choose the one whose hair growth parameters you wish to copy to the selected hair, and click OK. The parameters will then be copied and the strand hair regrown on the selected prop.
The script will ensure that you have a dynamic strand hair prop selected, and that it can find another, different strand hair prop to copy the growth parameters from, before it will let you do anything.
If you click OK, without having chosen another strand hair prop from the list, it will assign a set of default parameters to the selected strand hair prop. The script is quite explicit, in that it will not accept ordinary prop hair (non-strand) as the selection or list choices. If there is anything wrong with the hair (e.g. if it can't find a matching parent and the growth group on that parent which refers to the strand hair prop, it will ignore it).
