The M1919 Medium Machinegun, developed from the water-cooled Browning M1917, was the standard US company-level support machinegun from just after the end of World War One until the M60 came into widespread use at the end of the 1950s. Even after that point, it was still used in a number of niche roles. This set includes the gun itself, the M2 tripod on which it was most commonly mounted, a separate water jacket (for use as M1917) and a box of ammunition (materials included for linked or cloth belts in metal or wooden boxes.)
