Just a simple Disposable Plastic Cup made using Blender. Made it for use in Bryce by DAZ 3D. Looks far better in Bryce, even in default render by adjusting the basic material transparency control so it's translucent, than with a LOT of time wasted tweaking material AND lighting in Blender. HOWEVER, Blender made this so easy to build, compared to the hours of unsatisfactory Boolean modeling in Bryce. Even with this as my second try in Blender, (the 1st had some irregularities I avoided this time by scripting).

If using in Blender with fluid simulation, it does "hold water", but it is thin, so you'll have to turn off the "feature" to eliminate bubbles. (If it's a feature, why is it on by default ... especially when it causes such problems? I spent WEEKS trying to patch holes in my models that leaked in fluid simulation, met only by blog advice from people who assume I was the one who made a mistake, and then showing me exactly how to get to the point that it leaks, which I could not have asked the question in the blog if I did not already know, only to find out the "Remove Air Bubbles" was on by default and causing it.)

These are not perfect for the drinking frat party kegger scene, because, in my eyes, you would want these to be red on the outside, yet white on the inside and rim, and almost opaque. Same for a country/western scene. Those are not these. Perhaps I'll do some UV mapping in the future, and upload that MTL file later. It's all these need for those purposes. « Less
