Early in the development of the Wildcat, the UN Military requested that Earth Avionics investigate possible methods of orbital deployment for their latest fighter, this investigation led to the creation of the disposable Earth-To-Orbit (ETO) Orbital Launch Vehicle. This system adds a single use set of rocket lift motors and some additional armaments to allow the VGF-14 to reach orbital escape velocity in an emergency and can launch the aircraft from any prepared or mobile launch facility anywhere on Earth. The UN Fleet has also used the ETO Booster to extend the range of the Wildcat for deep-space recon operations with units operating from the Lunar or Mars Fleet Bases.
