3dZon gave me permission to offer my Daz Studio adaptation for free.
My contribution to this model is:
1. I selectively reworked the mesh to make it look better when sub-d is applied (as Daz will automatically do),
and to get rid of n-gons that make glitches in Daz Studio.
2. I assigned the material zones.
3. I rigged it so the parts can move conveniently.
SHORTCOMINGS
This 3D model ain’t perfect. It’s construction reflects my current beginner’s skill level with Blender and Daz.
But it looks ok from a typical distance, I think.
By accident, the material zone for the interior trim striping got merged with the material zone for the amber lights
at the front of the car. I did not feel like fixing it because it would require redoing a lot of work.
The instrument panel screens are UV mapped, but, due to my lack of expertise with Blender,
I could not produce any corresponding templates for them. You'll have to figure out how to put images on them yourself.
Could take days of work.
I would likely fix this in the V2 release, if there is one.
The rear compartment does not have a separate interior surface.
This allows some tail light trim strip ends to poke through.
But the windows that reveal the rear compartment can be turned from glass
to some other material that hides the rear compartment. « Less
I don't know any place to download control panel textures. I'm not even sure the texture image maps could be placed properly on the control panels. I would try to place some primitive planes just over the control panels and apply such panel texture images to the primitive planes. I guess this would be difficult to do for the triangular control panels on the steering yoke. more …
