This is a repost of Richard Mandel/Digital Explorations (https://www.deviantart.com/digitalexplorations) conversion to OBJ format of Dave Metlesits 3D Studio Max model of the Declaration class. The image is a render by Digital Explorations.

The ringship Enterprise from The Motion Picture was imagined by the Spaceflight Chronology as an Declaration starliner, although with an slightly different design, and later secondary material reimagined the ship as a failed prototype based on Vulcan designs, The SFC had it in service from the 2190s to the 2230s, and the other sources had it built in the late 21st Century, but abandoned in favor of a more standard design. Designed originally by Matt Jeffries as one of the possible designs for the original Enterprise, later refined for a failed show that Roddenberry was working on in the '70s, and redrawn by Rick Sternbach for its use in TMP.
