I've been getting fed up with the 2D billboard flames supplied with most Poser candles, so I decided to try and create a candle flame shader for a 3D mesh.

I was using Poser 11 when I made this. But I've just downloaded from ShareCG on a different computer and the flame shader works as far back as Poser 6, the earliest version I have.  The third image is a Poser 6 render of the included three candle scene.

The second image I uploaded was an animated GIF. It doesn't look very animated here though.

This is still in development, so feedback is good, even if it's bad ! :D

ShareCG doesn't allow me to direct you to the development topic "Candle Flame Shader For Firefly... (Use Postwork Answer Is For Cowards!)" on the R*****osity "Poser - OFFICIAL" forum. So I didn't.

If you search for "poser candle flame" on YouTube I've uploaded two very short (2 seconds and 5 seconds) rendered animations. I need to render a longer animation (7+ seconds) for ShareCG to let me upload here. « Less
