Impractical but otherwise cool looking futuristic car, intended to be electric.
Left hand drive
Right hand drive
Self-driving option with no driving controls
This car is designed by Hans de Ridder.
Hans de Ridder gave me permission to offer my Daz Studio adaptation for free.
My contribution to this model is:
1. I selectively reworked the mesh to make it look less "chunky-edged", as conversions from
nurbs models to rasterized models tend to make such chunky edges.
2. I assigned the material zones.
3. I rigged it so the parts can move conveniently.
4. Added details such as an interior, external side mirrors, antenna, and so on.
Also, this download has one of my other freebie models embedded in it: the "Tire, Morphable, V1".
I used the morphable tire on the car, so they go together. When you install the car, the tire gets installed also.
If you have already installed the tire, you'll get "over-write" warning messages when you install the car.
You can choose to over-write or skip the file copying. It matters not.
This V1 release download includes the model in DAZ Studio format and .obj format.
Of course only the Daz Studio format version is rigged for moving parts, and has actual material shaders applied.
The .obj format version is for folks who might want this car's basic mesh in some other program.
However, the .obj version positions the driving controls in the center of the car, as opposed to on either the
left or the right. You'll have to move the driving controls to one of these sides yourself.
Besides the morphable tires, the spoiler, license plate mounts, license plates, and emergency lights bar are
separate models that you can use on other car models.
But in the Daz Studio versions, the spoiler and license plate mounts load in automatically
with the rest of the car, parented to the car's Hull. The tires are parented to the wheel nodes of the car.
Any of these can be easily deleted if ya don't like 'em. « Less
I would be glad to adjust the permission if I am allowed to do so by Hans De Ridder. He made the original mesh. And I am only restricting the permissions to protect him from unwanted use of his model.
Here is the link to his original model, where II suspect you can contact him on that website: https://grabcad.com/library/concept-car-4
